Well, that didn’t last long. The Miami Dolphins have ended their two week tryout with the former first round pick. Quinn announced the release on Twitter this afternoon.
“It was short lived but I enjoyed every second. Thank you Miami Dolphins for the opportunity to play the game I love again. Best of luck to all the players and coaches this season,”
The Dolphins still need to release 10 players and the announcement of those players should come at any time as the deadline has passed. The Dolphins don’t normally announce their waived players until the league has them.
Quinn never was considered a viable option as a back up to either Ryan Tannehill or Matt Moore. Omar Kelly observed today that Quinn was the most accurate quarterback on the team when they were throwing to coaches or targets but once he was required to move, eh, not so much.
