Miami Dolphins Complete Practice Squad

The Miami Dolphins opted to only claim two players off yesterday’s cut list which means they are happy with their roster. Teams who generally are not thrilled with the bottom claim more players. The additions of safety Brandian Ross and CB Sammy Seamster won’t likely help the team immediately but both players are in a position to make contributions to the team whether it be through practice or special teams. Ross will see more opportunities given the suspension of Reshad Jones.

When the team added the two waiver claims they released Don Jones and WR Damian Williams. Williams may be added to the team after week one. If he were on the roster for week one his contract for the year would have been fully guaranteed. It’s a smart move for the team from a business angle.

Late last night the Dolphins announced their practice squad players. Earlier in the day the Dolphins announced they had signed WR Tommy Streeter and QB Seth Lobato to the squad.

The Dolphins lone 2014 draft cut, WR Matt Hazel, was added to the teams squad as was last years starting guard Sam Brenner and offensive lineman Tony Hills. The team also added LB David Hinds and tight end Jacob Maxwell. The team stayed heavy on defense where they also added CB Lowell Rose, DE D’Aundre Reed, and DT Garrison Smith.
