Miami Dolphins Vs Kansas City Chiefs: Weather Report

The Miami Dolphins return to Sun Life Stadium to play this week 3 game in front of their home town fans. After visiting Buffalo and failing to leave successfully with a victory, home cooking might just be the remedy to get the season back on track.

The Miami Dolphins are anticipating a great turnout for this game, especially since the Fins won their first home game of the year in exciting fashion against a division rival. That will give the fans of this town plenty reason to show up early, loud, and proud. In anticipation of this game and as a way to drum up the excitement locally, the Miami Dolphins are encouraging fans to come out in their aqua gear and will be giving an allotment of fans that show up early a aqua team shirt, as this game is to be remembered as the AQUA-OUT.

It would make sense for the Miami Dolphins to be wearing aqua today instead of their customary all white uniforms, since the game will kick off in the late afternoon at 4pm EST instead of 1pm EST that most home games in Miami have been played at. While this will allow the Fins to make a fashion statement at home and engage with the fans from a PR perspective, this actually takes away from the advantage the Dolphins would have had with the South Florida blazing sun in the early afternoon.

Unfortunately for the Miami Dolphins, they will not have that heat advantage as the weather forecast for today’s game at kick off time, courtesy of www.weather.com, is 87 degrees with 6 mph winds blowing from the south east with scattered thunderstorms throughout the late afternoon and early evening. This more than likely will be a wet game, so I hope Dolphins Fans are bringing their aqua ponchos, I also wouldn’t put it past the Dolphins to be selling aqua ponchos at the team shop.

With it raining more or less the whole week in South Florida leading up to this game, I hope the Miami Dolphins coaching staff had enough foresight to practice their players in the wet conditions, getting them acclimated to the challenges a wet football presents in ball security. Granted the Chiefs will have to play in these elements as well, so hopefully the Dolphins are more comfortable with it because they practiced in it and can execute better on the field than their competition, ending the day victorious. FINS UP!!
