The Dolphins are on a winning streak and garnering sudden respect as they take the show on the road against the Detroit Lions.  The two teams match up in one of the very few matchups this week which see two teams with a winning record square off, and arguably two of the best defensive lines in football will take the field.

Along those defensive lines, Miami’s defensive line is expected to be at full strength, while Detroit will have to go without DT Nick Fairley, who is already listed as out for the team.  In addition to Fairley,  it’s possible that DE Ezekiel Ansah and DE George Johnson could miss the game, though both are listed as probable and are expected to play.  If the Lions were forced to miss Ansah in addition to Fairley, it could be a long day up front for the Lions.

The Lions have also been winning without two of their biggest stars, Calvin Johnson and Reggie Bush.  They are both expected to suit up and play for this weeks game, potentially providing a stiff challenge for the Dolphins.  While Stafford will likely see the two aforementioned weapons return, the team has all three Tight Ends on the roster nursing injuries.  Much hyped rookie sensation Eric Ebron is listed as doubtful for the game, while Joseph Fauria and Brandon Pettigrew are listed as questionable.  It could make for an interesting day if the Detroit Tight Ends are forced to sit, and even if they play they could be in limited action which could modify a number of things on offense for the Lions.

For Miami, Tight End Dion Sims is already listed as out, and Daryn Colledge will also miss his second straight game due to a back issue.  Linebacker Kelvin Sheppard is nursing a hip/groin injury and did not practice Friday, and is listed as questionable.  In addition to Sheppard receiving the questionable designation, Lamar Miller, Jimmy Wilson, Koa Misi and Earl Mitchell were listed as questionable but participated on a limited basis on Friday.  Also, Charles Clay, DT Anthony Johnson, Chris McCain, Mike Pouncey and Jordan Tripp are all listed as probable and are expected to be available today.
