It has been three years since the “bully-gate” scandal tore through the halls of the Miami Dolphins. Following the Ted Wells investigation, offensive line coach Jim Turner was fired.

Turner openly spoke out against his firing and many wondered if he was simply one of the scapegoats that needed to be held accountable. Today, it was announced that Texas A&M who finally gave Turner another coaching job, his first since his firing by the Dolphins, have suspended him for conduct unbecoming.

Kevin Sumlin the A&M head coach confirmed the reports after Turner and another coach were attending a female football clinic and presented the women with a disparaging and sexist slide show. The two coaches of which Turner was one, have been suspended without pay for two weeks and given community service.

"“There is absolutely no place in our program or in our University community for inappropriate conduct or degrading comments towards women, or anyone, regardless of intent, said Sumlin."

The images on the slides were supposed to be blocking techniques but it was clear that the two coaches used their own humor to adjust the wording. A total of four images were placed on the screen.

While with the Dolphins, Turner was at the center of the bully-gate investigation due to this kind of humor. He gave sex dolls to his offensive lineman for Christmas one year and a male sex doll to a player insinuating that he was gay.

Both Turner and assistant coach Jeff Banks issued a statement.

"“We want to sincerely apologize to the passionate Aggie fans and to women everywhere for our failed attempt at humor during this week’s Aggie Football Chalk Talk and fundraiser. We clearly understand now that our comments and slides were not appropriate or consistent with the values of our football program or our Department. We must do better, and we will.”"

Apparently the two years off from football for Turner wasn’t enough to drive some common sense into his head.
