Long time Miami Dolphin beat reporter, Armando Salguero, has taken to twitter tonight and confirmed that this is the new Miami Dolphins logo. Some fans will be elated, some will be saddened and still others will hate it, but Salguero assures this is the real deal!

Salguero cites multiple team sources in his confirmation and also breaks the news that the Dolphins will introduce new helmets with white face masks. The Dolphins plan on updating the teams color scheme in hopes of bringing the team back to “its roots”. Check out Salguero’s post here and let us know what you think of the changes below in the comments.

As a lifelong Dolphin fan, this change will definitely take some getting used to for me, but I imagine, in time, I will like this logo as much as any. As for the uniforms, I anticipate a retro update to the traditional white uniforms being pretty awesome.

According to Salguero the official reveal will be on April 25th. Until then, check PhinPhanatic regularly for all things Dolphins and remember to keep you FINS UP!

With free agency just around the corner speculation about what Jeff Ireland will do to improve the Miami Dolphins will be more frequent. Jeff Ireland has maneuvered himself into a nice position where he has both tons of cap space and plenty of draft picks. He has to hit a few home runs in order to make this team successful. Here are three free agent targets that I think will help bring the Dolphins to the promise land.
