Comming into the 2012 season no one, including myself had little to no expectations for the 2 year outside linebacker out of Utah. If Misi did one thing this year it was proving everyone wrong.

In 2011 Misi had a subpar year, only totaling 26 tackles and a single sack. For any linebacker that is not very good. Misi had a hard time in Mike Nolan’s 3-4 defense trying to bring pressure opposite of Wake.

This year was a completly different story. Misi became very comfortable as a outside linebacker in this years 4-3 defense. He ended the season with 50 tackles and 3.5 sacks in only 14 games, before finishing the season on IR.

It seemed that Misi had learned a thing or two from the other two members of the Dolphins linebacker core, Karlos Dansby and Keven Burnett. Misi was always making tackles when given the chance. Something he was not able to do last year, he always seemed to miss too many tackles last year.

He was very impressive and underrated this year. But someone who should not be overlooked by Dolphin fans. He is the type of player that any team would want. He has been getting better year after year. He may not be the best outside linebacker but he does get the job done. Misi is finally starting to become consistant tackler for the Dolphins.

The 2010 second round pick is starting to look like a good decision. His improved play has helped the Dolphins have one of the better linebacking core in the NFL. Overall this season Misi deserves a B for his solid play. Would not be surprised if Misi’s play got even better over the next few years.

The Tight End position has a big question mark for the Dolphins in 2012. Everyone knew what Anthony Fasano brought to the table this season. But for Clay it was yet to be seen what he could do. Clay was thought to be a perfect mold of a tight end who could burst away from linebackers and make plays.

Clay the second year player out of Tulsa was said to be a tight end/fullback hybrid who could be a game changer down the field for the Dolphins. At times Clay showed signs of being the player the Dolphins thought he would be. Other times, we would find ourselves asking where he was? He seemed to just disappear for games at a time.

Clay had an injury shortened 2012 campaign where he was put on IR after week 15. Over the 14 games he did play he only had 18 catches for 212 yards and two touchdowns.

He had his moments, the most memorable being the touchdown catch wide open down field against the Seahawks to keep the Dolphins in the game and eventually pull out the win. The thing is that it only happened once this season, Clay was rarely a game changer. For Clay’s play he deserves a C-, for not always showing up when needed for the Dolphins.

After a good start to the post season, going 4 and 0 in my picks I am back to see if I can keep the streak going into the Divisional round. This may be the best week of the post season, where the best of the best square off.

The first matchup of the week is the Ravens against the Broncos. The Ravens defense had no problem shutting down Andrew Luck last week. But Payton Manning is on a different level. The MVP and comeback player of the year candidate is coming into the playoffs on a ten game win streak. The Ravens have a lot of momentum going for them, but I am not too sure if it is enough to hold off the number one seed Broncos.

Last week the Ravens won, not behind Ray Rice who coughed the ball up twice, but instead behind some excellent throws by Joe Flacco trying to state his case at being an elite quarterback. If the Ravens want to have any chance at winning both Joe Flacco and Ray Rice have to play at the top of their game. While I expect the Ravens to fight to the end, it will not be enough to hold off the Broncos. Broncos win 31-20

The second game, is the Packers against the 49ers. The Packers had a great win last week against the Vikings who had to start the always dangerous Joe Webb in place of Christian Ponder.

I expect a great game out of these two teams. The 49ers are the favorite on Defense but the Packers have their fair share of play makers on defense. On offense, the Packers are the better team, ever since Collin Kaepernick took over the starting job for the niners the team has not looked the same. Shaky on offense and not much consistency. Alex Smith should still be the quarterback in San Fran. Kaepernick is getting his first playoff snaps and I don’t think he will fair to will against a dangerous Packers D.

In the last game of the night I expect an upset. Green bay will come into Sanfran, and then leave with a win. 28-17 Packers.
