January 5th, 2008 at 10:35 amHere is my 6 round mock draft.1. Chris Long DE Virginia1.(From Cincinnati for Jason Taylor) Sedrick Ellis DT U.S.C.2. Leodis McKelvin CB Troy2. James Hardy WR Indiana3. Mike McGlynn OT Pitt4. Marcus Griffin6. Kellen Davis TE Michigan St
January 5th, 2008 at 11:32 pmI really like James Hardy. We would probably have to take him with the first of our two second round picks but it will be well worth it. He is the big physical receiver we need to complement Ginn.
January 6th, 2008 at 3:02 pmHERE IS WHAT I THINK THE DOLPHINS SHOULD DO WITH THE FIRST FOUR PICKS1) GLEN DORSEY DT LSU2)LAWRENCE JACKSON DE USC3) FRED DAVIS TE USC4)DOMINIQUE RODGERS CROMARTIE CB TENN. STATE
January 9th, 2008 at 1:36 pmI have reviewed this with analysis and thought. I have watched Dorsey and Long, reviewed their stats for the past 2 years, and the only conclusion I can come to is that you are exactly right. If the Dolphins can’t trade out and the pick is DL, Long has to be the pick. I wouldn’t rule out OLine totally, though…..But given there is more depth on the OLine on the Fins and in this year’s draft, I come back to Long as the pick. I would prefer Matt Ryan. I know that’s not a popular stance, but neither was my stance last year when I was screaming for the fins to pick A. Peterson if available and P. Willis if not….and I was dead on correct then.
January 12th, 2008 at 10:57 amOh, one more thing…..Really like your 2nd round as well, but we need a good cover corner more than Conner, and they are harder to find than LB. So my choice is the best corner available at that spot, depending on combine results and film review….maybe A. Cason, Arizona.
January 12th, 2008 at 11:04 amtrade the first pick for dallass 2 picks and their linebacker with those pics take talib and highsmith, second take the next best available dt or de. for the second pick take fred davis, if available, if not top ol. top of the third take saftey craig stelz out of lsu and top 4th take john david booty. i will also strongly advise a trade that sends taylor to a contender, a. so he can win b. so we can get the most form a team that want to win now.
January 15th, 2008 at 9:44 pmCan I submit my mock here? http://insidetheiggles.com/2008/01/21/2008-mock-draft-12208/
January 28th, 2008 at 11:17 pmdont you guys think we need a QB before anything? without that we dont have a team
February 15th, 2008 at 4:50 pmDillon: The answer to your question is yes and no. The yes part is that we do in fact need to have a QB, the no is, and you wont like this, is that we truly do not know what kind of QB John Beck is. After last season is was reported that Beck was only allowed to play a scaled down role in the offense, his issues with the game could be attributed to Cam Camerons’ inability to properly prepare him. We invested a 2nd round pick in him last year, I would be completely shocked if Parcells and Ireland spent a number 1 overall on one this year, especially when the top rated QB, Matt Ryan, is not a consensus can’t miss project. Look for Miami to addresss the QB spot in the draft on day 2, not day 1 unless they just fall in love with one.
February 15th, 2008 at 8:30 pmi guess. i just dont understand why we drop or trade our good players. Chris Chamber for instance, that was a dumb mistake what exactly did we get for him? Practically nothing. Then we drop Zach, marty booker. Zach is the heart and sould of our defense. It was our defense that was bad last year it was our offense screwing up every chance they gey that lost us our games.
February 15th, 2008 at 10:47 pmcorrection *it wasnt our deffense that was bad last year.
February 15th, 2008 at 10:48 pmI think they should take Matt Ryan but i don’t think they will. here is my mock drafthttp://www.freewebs.com/joshwaitkevich/joshs2008nflmock.htm
February 24th, 2008 at 3:44 pmNot trying to spam or anything, since I don’t like to whore myself out.
But I’m starting a table of pulling all the Dolphins picks out of the better online mock drafts here. Just thought I’d let you know.
