<p>The best thing about the NFL draft for us the fans is that we get a chance to pretend we are NFL General Managers. With March Madness ending, our predictive modelling skills can now be used to forecast the upcoming NFL draft.    How will the NFL draft play out….no one knows for sure, and if they do, they are pretty much lying to you.  We can only base our predictions on research, analysis and a little shot of luck.  How do I think the Miami Dolphins draft will unfold, well sit back, relax and enjoy the story; <a href="http://phinphanatic.com/2013/04/15/djs-crystal-ball-playing-gm-on-draft-day/#more-19883" class="more-link">(more&#8230;)</a></p>

<p>The Dolphins have made the biggest impact in free agency up until this point. As free agency starts to slow down, what should Miami&#8217;s next move be?</p>
</div>
<div></div>
<div></div>
<div>The Dolphins are thin in the secondary, and young, they will most likely be adding two corners early on in Aprils draft. But they need a veteran to be a leader. Ireland has never been interested in adding veterans because they slow the growth of the younger players.</div>
<div></div>
<div></div>
<div>Ireland should look into signing either a vet corner or safety to be a leader and roll model for the young play making safety Rashad Jones and the other rookies Ireland decides to pick next month. The Dolphins are showing interest in the ex Falcons corner Brent Grimes. The 5&#8217;10 corner went to the probowl in 2010, he got injured early last year which may make him cheaper then it would be if he played more last season.</div>
<div></div>
<div></div>
<div>He would be a great pick up for the fins. He would specialize in covering the slot receiver of teams, something the Dolphins had trouble with the last couple of seasons.</div>
<div></div>
<div></div>
<div>On a side note there are rumors that Right Tackle Eric Winston is close to signing with the Dolphins. He started all 16 games last season and would be a great fit for the fins.</div>

<p>Its official, football season is under way.  The NFL combine is set to start today, which means agents are finally allowed to speak with teams on their clients and the rumor mills will start overflowing with Days of Our lives drama.</p>
<p>What gets lost in all of this, are the potential athletes trying to make it to the NFL.  Here is my take of how the first round will be going down.  I am not going to predict trades, as I agree with Mike Mayock in that there isn’t much difference from the 5th player to the 25th player. <a href="http://phinphanatic.com/2013/02/20/djs-mock-draft-pre-combine-v1/#more-19372" class="more-link">(more&#8230;)</a></p>
