Summary of Facts – US vs. Vick
There is no picture accompanying this blog. Michael is a real piece of Vickand the last thing that he deserves is his face anywhere but in front of some guy named Bubba. (no offense to Bubba.)
Earlier today the details of the Michael Vick plea agreement came to light. Specifically what he has plead guilty to. On charges of killing dogs, Vick plead guilty to being actively involved with the other two involved in the case with the killing of 6-8 dogs. Now these are not dogs that lost in a fight, no, these were dogs that couldn’t pass their tests. The dogs were hung or drowned. Michael Vick was involved in that. Vick also plead guilty to putting up the gambling funds, thus supporting the fights.
Vick faces additional charges in the state of Virginia and will likely not get much in the way of leniency after this plea. According to federal law, Vick must serve 85% of his handed down sentence. As part of the plea agreement, federal prosecutors will recommend the lower end of the jail sentence which could be 1 to 2 years. However, the judge presiding in the case does not have to follow their recommendations.
The additional charges in Virginia will likely come within the next month. Michael Vick is scheduled to be in federal court on Monday, after his sentencing, he may be immediately remanded to federal officers and go directly to jail.
The NFL within hours of the news regarding his plea agreement, suspended Vick without pay indefinitely. The Falcons will now be able to attempt to recoup almost 22 million dollars that was paid out to Vick as part of his new contract he signed last year. Roger Goodell wasted little time acting after the facts of the plea came to be known.

Perhaps justice for these type of crime will never be served, but for once, being a celebrity athlete did not have its priveledges.
Michael Vick will be sentenced on Monday. It is highly unlikely that he will ever walk onto an NFL football again. His career is all but officially over.
