The Dolphins…Across the Universe!
By Brian Miller
Take a quick jump over to the Miami Dolphins official home site and you will see one of their new articles about the team titled the “Fab Four“. The article of course refers to the starting of 4 of Miamis’ 10 rookies from their last draft class…the top 4.
So I thought I would play with that a little more…in fact, I thought I would be the Michael Jackson and just steal the idea and sell it off for whatever I can get! Lets take a trip across the Dolphins universe.
For now, sit back and relax, and “Let me take you down, cause I’m going to…Lincoln Financial Field” O.k. I know…that was really bad.
The Miami Beatles:
Ted Ginn at WR…let’s call him George. Ginn is the quiet guy, the one that just does his job and hopes that someone sees him. Lemon could not.
Samson Satele at Center…let’s call him John. He is the vocal leader of the line. He is the one that has not only surprised just about everyone, but he has started every single game this season. He is the anchor to these young guys if not the entire offense.
Reagan Mauia at FB….well, you just know he is Ringo. Mauia is the one who ran through a wall, he is the one who comes off just a little goofy, the wild card in the bunch…he may not be the better of the 4, but he keeps getting better.
John Beck is the Paul. He is the one that will be the face of the group, like McCartney strolling across Abbey Road without shoes and out of step, Beck is the one who will always be separate of the others.
BUT WAIT! There was a 5th Beatle. A forgotten Beatle. We can’t forget him.
Rodrique Wright has to be the Pete Best. Wright is no longer thought of when the rookies are mentioned, a mid 7th round pick, he has only started 4 games at DT and is now set to start his first at DE in place of Matt Roth.

If you play “Revolution Number 9” backwards on the “White Album” you will hear that “Paul is dead”….If the Miami fans continue to have their Revolution…Cam Camerons’ career might be.
The Beatles had Ravi Shankar who played the Sitar…The Dolphins have Ricky Williams who has sat for the last 18 months.
That’s all I got…for now!
