Catching Up…A Bit

facebooktwitterreddit

There is nothing worse than being in the middle of training camp and suddenly find yourself overwhelmed with the real world of your own life.  It’s hard enough to get updated on what’s going on down in South Florida but getting them updated on here as well.  So yes, I have been slacking.

Not a lot to really tell right now.  Nate Garner has injured his foot, Will Allen is resting a sore knee, and Patrick Cobbs is back to practicing.  Oh, Evan Oglesby who was released at the start of camp was brought back into camp and is now hurt with an ankle injury.  The Dolphins apparently are looking at bringing in former Raven CB Frank Walker but nothing appears imminent.

On the field, it seems that Jason Allen, yes that Jason Allen, is starting to “get it”.  While we have at times thought this before, it appears that he legitimately might make the roster as opposed to being a highly paid player who takes up space.  This weekend we should get a good look at him.

Speaking of this weekend, I will be in Miami for the game and will try and “update” all of you somehow.  Not sure yet what the best way to do that is but a lot will depend on my phone reception and how well I can type.  I may do a “Live” game chat from the game.

The Dolphins have given me some free passes for the game, o.k. they’re called tickets, because I will be trying out their Kangaroo TV product.  They will do some filming of my party and others using it and then we will critique it.  So look for that report on Monday or Tuesday…with photos!  Should be fun.

On a quick personal note, this will be the first game that I attend with my 6 year old son, his first Dolphins game period.  I’m pretty jacked about that.  If there is anyone who is going to the game on Saturday and would like to meet face to face (unless I have offended you in which case please don’t…LOL) then leave me an Email at Phinphanatic23@yahoo.com.

Will try and get more up tomorrow as I prepare to leave on Friday…on a special note, we here at Phinphanatic.com have landed an interview with the one and only Jimmy Johnson so check back later next week as Patrik Nohe gives us the dish from the man with the unmovable hair.
