At the beginning of this year’s Free Agency it seemed imminent that OT Jake Long would not be a Miami Dolphin next fall. However, after the first week of FA, it is still unclear where Long will end up. Long has been doing a lot of thinking. He visited St. Louis, and after three days of talking he left the city without a deal. He has heard what the Dolphins are willing to offer him, and now has a decision to make. While the Fins would love to keep Jake for the right price, I don’t think they expected him to take a pay cut and stay in Miami given other teams’ desire for the previous number one pick. That is, until now. The Dolphins have received help from within their own organization. That help has come from fellow O-lineman Richie Incognito. Incognito is known around the league as being one of the dirtiest players in the game, but now he is being known for his “bromance” towards fellow “smashbro” Jake Long.
Incognito has been utilizing social media to start the campaign “#bringjakehome“. Here is a look at a couple of Incognito’s tweets about Jake Long and returning to South Beach (taken from Incognito’s twitter account).

JAKE JAKE JAKE
These are just a couple of Incognito’s tweets in his #bringjakehome campaign. He has even reached out to other celebrities like Daniel Tosh to tweet to his followers asking for Jake to return to Miami.
Whether or not Jake Long gives in to his fellow “smash brother” and returns to Miami next year is directly up to Jake himself. He has two offers on the table to choose from, one from St.Louis, and one from the Dolphins. In the end, Jake will end up choosing the option which is best for himself and his wife Jackie Long. Whether or not you want Jake Long back in Miami, his decision will shake up the Dolphins’ game plan in the near future. If Long leaves, GM Jeff Ireland will have the money to continue his FA rampage and could explore options like Elvis Dumervil or Brent Grimes, and the Dolphins will likely draft a tackle in the upcoming draft. However, we now know one thing is for certain: Richie Incognito wants his smash brother back in Miami.
