Dolphins 2013 Regular Season Schedule A Tough “Road”

facebooktwitterreddit

The Miami Dolphins now know their 2013 season schedule and the powers that be in the NFL felt it necessary to do the Dolphins no favors.  Despite the fact they gave the team three prime time games, only one of those is at home.

The Dolphins will open the season visiting Cleveland on September 8th before traveling week two to visit the Indianapolis Colts in week 2.

Week three the Dolphins get to open at home against one of the best NFC teams.  The Atlanta Falcons.  Instead of the Dolphins at least getting the Falcons at 1, the NFL has seen fit to schedule the game for 4:05 pm. They will then face the New Orleans Saints in New Orleans the following week on Monday Night Football.  The Dolphins by the end of September will have played three of their games on the road against three playoff teams (New Orleans should be a PO team again).  The hot Florida sun will not be a factor but for one weekend.

Returning from the Saints in week 5 will do the Dolphins no favors as they face the Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens.  The Ravens have been gutted but they are still the Super Bowl defenders.

On paper the Dolphins get a bit of reprieve in week 6 when they play host to the Buffalo Bills which of course means that they will play Buffalo up north late in December.  They will then get their first break of the seasons schedule by traveling to New England in October.

Following the Patriots game, the Dolphins will return home to host the Bengals on Halloween night on prime time.  They will travel across the state for week 10 for a Sunday night prime time game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Week 11 brings the Dolphins back home for two consecutive games against the San Diego Chargers and then the Carolina Panthers before heading north for two consecutive road games starting December 1st against the New York Jets and then the Pittsburgh Steelers in week 14.

The will come home to face the Patriots before heading to Buffalo in week 16 but will wrap the season at home against the New York Jets.

The teams bye week will come after week 6’s Baltimore Ravens game and they will return to the field against Buffalo.
