The Miami Dolphins have made some moves in the past few days signing a few guys here and there to add some depth at a few positions of need.

Here are some Miami Dolphins News Updates you may have missed:

-The Dolphins have signed QB Jordan Rogers, the younger brother of the Green Bay Packers franchise QB. He will likely be stepping in as a camp body, similar to what the team did last season with QB Aaron Corp. Rogers will likely compete with Pat Devlin and anyone else the team brings in for the third spot on the depth chart behind Ryan Tannehill and Matt Moore.

-The team also signed former Atlanta Falcons WR Kevin Cone for depth at the receiver position. Cone is infamous for possessing elite level speed, but has not been properly developed just yet. Cone will likely compete for the 5th and 6th receiver spots along Miami’s depth chart. Don’t be surprised to see the team add a receiver in this year’s draft.

-Miami has also signed former Detroit Lions and University of Miami RT Jason Fox to a solid 1-year, $795,000 deal. Fox will come in and compete at right tackle, but also adds a sense of leadership and depth to an improved Miami Dolphins offensive line. Look for Miami to still upgrade the right tackle position in this year’s draft.

-Reports have surfaced that the Miami Dolphins, even after signing RB Knowshon Moreno to a very cheap one-year prove it style deal, will look at adding a running back in this year’s draft. The thought is that the team will likely target a back between rounds 3-5 who can come in and potentially take RB Daniel Thomas’ spot on the team.

-Going off the report above, the Miami Dolphins remain very interested in RB Terrance West of Towson. West is a bigger back who saw success at the college level and could be a very nice addition to Miami’s squad. West can be had in round 4, 5, or possibly even 6.

-WR Mike Wallace is reportedly not buying the fact that the Miami Dolphins are looking to get rid of him via the trade market. Obviously CBS reporter Jason La Canfora is the one reporting that Miami is actively shopping Wallace and, well, take that for what it’s worth. Wallace has a hefty cap hit this season and would cost the team waaay too much to ship him elsewhere this season.

-Lastly, Miami will work out former Detroit Lions number two receiver Nate Burleson today. Burleson, again, would be nothing but a camp body at this point. He would need to make the team with a solid offseason and preseason campaign, but he does present some upside especially when the team now faces a corner duo of Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner twice per season. Still, expect Miami to grab a receiver in this year’s draft.
