2: TE Eric Ebron, North Carolina
This is a pipe dream. Every mock draft has Ebron moving off the boards in the top 10 to 15 selections and it’s highly unlikely that Miami has the opportunity to draft this franchise potential TE. I would have him as my number one player if not for the fact that I simply can not fathom him dropping to the 19th position.
Ebron is everything that Miami should be looking for in a TE. He as the potential to become another Rob Gronkowski or Jimmy Graham. Yes, while unproven at the NFL level, he possesses that raw combination of talent and athleticism. Ebron has the hands to make the transition to the NFL easily. He is fast enough to create space and can line up on the edge and in the slot without losing production. This is one of the positions that the Dolphins have lacked for years and if the opportunity did somehow fall into Miami’s laps to draft this player, there should be no reason not to. None. Ebron should be Miami’s number one redone target should they land him and a focal point of their “West Coast” offensive hybrid system.
