9: CB Kyle Fuller – Virginia Tech
The Dolphins do have a need at CB simply because they don’t know what they have in Jamar Taylor and Will Davis. In addition, the addition of Courtland Finnegan this past March comes with question marks of it’s own. The Dolphins need to find another CB that will challenge everyone for the position full time.
Fuller has a great instincts and while he is not always a solid man to man corner he can still improve. Fuller however excels with his game play. He plays faster than he times and more importantly knows how to use his speed and athleticism to close on receivers and has the hands and quickness to take the ball away. Something the Dolphins need to get better at opposite Brent Grimes. Fuller won’t likely be a day one starter but he will contribute immediately on special teams and should see plenty of action on game day defensively while subbing in nickel and dime packages.
