3: OT Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, McGill
I was intrigued when Miami brought Duvernay-Tardif in for a visit. So I watched a little tape and started to read up on the man from North of the border. LD-T turned heads in the East/West Shrine game and is likely a day three or not at all draft pick. The Dolphins could see him as a potential solution on the right side long term and if the team doesn’t address the positions on the right early, LD-T could learn from a veteran.
I like long shot players and especially those with the physical tools and athleticism to get better. The fact that LD-T has plenty of room for improvement in his game tells me that his ceiling is higher than some of the others. He is already playing at a solid level albeit one that is not at that of the NFL. There is no question that he needs work but with the right coaching and attitude, I think this guy could be a late draft or un-drafted steal.
