Miami Dolphins Fantasy Options Week Four

Week four could be a good week to start your Miami Dolphins players. The team is playing the Oakland Raiders in London and while they just came off a close game with the Patriots in New England, they have holes that the Dolphins can and should be able to exploit. The question really is who do you start?

The NFL starts it’s annual bye weeks in week four and Cincinnati, Denver, Arizona, Cleveland, Seattle, and St. Louis are all off this weekend. That means no Marshawn Lynch, no Peyton Manning, and no Julius Thomas among a slew of others.

To be honest if you are looking at the free agent market this week and seeing Dolphins players you might just be shaking your head. All is not lost though if these are your only options.

If you are looking at the free agent list for a quarterback than it is a pretty good sign that you drafted only one and now that your bye week is here you are searching for options. Tannehill has been erratic and inconsistent but he has only turned the ball over twice with interceptions. He has also fumbled once but the Raiders don’t pose a tremendous pass rush or boast strong corners. If there is a week this season that Tannehill is your go to free agent this is the one. With his back against the wall Tannehill stands to have a breakout game against the Raiders in an attempt to quell some of the rumors of his inevitable replacement as the teams starter.

Lamar Miller:

Miller had a career game last Sunday and should have a good showing this week as well. The Dolphins might just ride those legs to take some of the pressure off of the passing game or could integrate him into that part of the offense more. Either way the Dolphins have little options outside of Miller and with Knowshon Moreno close to returning this might be the last chance Miller gets to shine on his own.

Mike Wallace:

Call it a hunch but I think this is the week that Tannehill finally hits the deep ball and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Wallace have a huge game. There are no stud players to compete with Wallace on the Oakland defense but they do play with some pride. The Dolphins should be able to handle their pass rush giving Tannehill time. Time usually doesn’t infer a completion but something needs to go the teams way and this could be the week for Wallace.e

Charles Clay:

You probably drafted Clay a little higher than he was predicted to go, of course you did you’re a Dolphins fan. By now you are wishing you would have waited or drafted someone else. Clay has simply not been used as he was last season and there are no guarantees that suddenly Philbin and company are going to open up the game and include him. Unfortunately that could happen any week at any given time. If he is your only option then you have no choice but I would look elsewhere for now until he shows that he is going to be part of the offense.e

Brian Hartline:

It had been a long time since Hartline saw the end zone and he finally did last week. Hartline should have a good game against the Raiders on Sunday but as a possession receiver. Hartline could have a good game for you in PPR leagues but that is the extent of his value this week.

Dolphins D/ST:

It’s hard to predict what the Dolphins defense will do this week but if you have no other options you’re not in terrible shape. The defense is complaining and that should elevate their play on Sunday. They have yet to show impact in the turnover department specifically with interceptions. Derek Carr starts for the Raiders and strong pass rush pressure and solid corners could be what the Dolphins need to right that part of their game.
