The Texans as of today are not in play to take anything away from the Dolphins. At least not heading into today. The Texans are however only one game back and win today with a Miami loss will put one more team into the mix for that final playoff spot. With the Dolphins playing New England next weekend every victory and every loss counts quite a bit. The Texans are not a great football team but they are playing good football right now and could surprise people if they keep their momentum rolling. The issue with Houston is they are inconsistent having won two of the last four games this season. Still if the Texans climb into the huddled mass of teams who knows how things would shake up. In addition a win today by the Texans moves them to 6-3 on the season in conference games and that could be a factor.
