Miami Dolphins Year In Review: January
By Brian Miller
January 15th
The Miami Dolphins GM search continued but the teams request to interview three top candidates including Philadelphia Eagles Director of Player Personnel Tom Gamble, Seattle’s Scot McCloughan, and Baltimore’s Eric Decosta were met with declinations from all three. McCloughan and Decosta said they were not interested in the Dolphins job while Tom Gamble opted to stay in Philadelphia to be near his ailing father. It was a foreshadowing of things to come.
The Dolphins did however hire a new offensive coordinator bringing in Bill Lazor to run the Dolphins offense. Lazor had been reported the night before to have accepted the same job with the Detroit Lions.
