The Dolphins began to brace themselves internally as the Ted Wells report when it was announced that the report would be made public after the Super Bowl in February. Jonathan Martin began to speak to the media and said that he was o.k. with “typical NFL hazing”. Stephen Ross declared that he had an idea of what the report would say, but gave little indication as to what direction it would go.

The same day that it was announced about the report, the Dolphins and Brian Gaine parted ways. Gaine was a top prospect for the GM job but his association with the Bill Parcells and Jeff Ireland era likely contributed to him not getting the job.
