Free agency begins with a flurry for the Miami Dolphins who agree to terms on a contract with former Kansas City Chiefs left tackle Branden Albert. Albert would be the Dolphins big ticket free agent player of the year.

The Dolphins signed defensive tackle Earl Mitchell. Former NT Paul Solia is not re-signed and hits free agency. The ex-Dolphins would join the Atlanta Falcons later in free agency.

The Dolphins officially trade right tackle Jonathan Martin to the San Francisco 49’ers for a conditional 7th round pick.
