Brady Quinn is released after a very short stay. The Dolphins would begin paring the team to the league mandated 75 on this same day. On August 30th the Dolphins made the necessary cuts to get to the league mandated 53. Among the cuts were running backs Daniel Thomas and Marcus Thigpen. The moves would culminate the first off-seson for Dennis Hickey as the team would now begin preparation for their home opening game agains the New England Patriots.
