Jelani Jenkins was very good in 2014 after Dannell Ellerbe went down to injury. At one point the back-up linebacker looked to be primed at a run for serious Pro-Bowl consideration. He finished the 2014 season with 83 tackles and 101 combined tackles on the season. He added one pass defensed. Jenkins was all over the place in a good way and needs to make 2015 his official breakout season.

Can he do it?

There is no reason to believe that he can’t. With Suh in front of him Jenkins should be able to have a clear path to runners to his side. His tackling is very solid and the Dolphins might be able to use him on disguised blitzes as well. Jenkins will be very important to the success of the defense this season.
