The Dolphins are very positive in the assertion that offensive guard Billy Turner is ready for a huge role on the offensive line. Let’s hope he can play better than Dallas Thomas. Likely to get an extensive early look in training camp, preseason, and early season work, Turner needs to be the teams answer at one of the two guard positions.

Turner’s successes or failures will go a long way in deciding how well the offense can perform. If Ryan Tannehill can’t get time to throw it really won’t matter what pieces the Dolphins have in place. The Dolphins are pretty solid at both tackle positions and at center but guard has been a major issue. The last time Miami had a guard that was a valuable starter was Richie Incognito and we all know how that ended.

This year the eyes of the franchise and perhaps the season success of Bill Lazor’s offense in year two will come down to Billy Turner’s success as a starting guard.
