Week 7: Houston Texans
Everyone and their grandmother knows that J.J. Watt is a stud at defensive end. In fact, he is probably the best out there in the league. No other defensive end can break through a line and get after the quarterback like Watt. Alone, J.J. Watt would be a great test for the Dolphins but after looking at the entire Texans’ roster you can see the whole team is a great test. This defense is going to put the hurt on the Dolphins, especially the offensive line. J.J. Watt, Vince Wilfork, and Jadeveon Clowney (if healthy) will push the Dolphins’ line to their limits and very likely past them. The number of sacks and hurries on Tannehill will be a big stat to analyze after this game. This game being in the middle of the season will show where the Dolphins’ o-line is at and which way they’re trending.

On the other side of the ball you have another potent rushing attack that will test the Dolphins’ defense at their weakest point last year. Arian Foster and Alfred Blue have the skill and potential to run circles around this defense. This game will definitely show how much or little the Dolphins have improved against the run. DeAndre Hopkins is a big threat receiver for the Texans but with Ryan Mallet or Brian Hoyer throwing the ball the Texans look to be a run first team. If the Dolphins can make the Texans put the game in the hands of their quarterback then they will not only walk away with a win but also show that they are real contenders this year.
