Week 13: Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens have become my most hated team outside the AFC East. The last two seasons they have played spoiler to the Dolphins’ playoff chances and eliminated them from the playoffs in 2008. If the Dolphins are going to make the playoffs then they need to beat the Ravens this year but it won’t be easy. Last year the Ravens showed they do not need Ray Rice as they unleashed Justin Forsett for 1,266 yards (nfl.com). As if their running game wasn’t the only scary part of their offense they have Joe Flacco that can slice up defenses through the air. The Dolphins’ defense will definitely have their work cut out for them in this game. If the defense has been improved and is healthy for this game then the Dolphins have a good shot to finally beat the Ravens.

    • The Ravens may have a scary offense but they also have a scary defense. Over the last two years the Dolphins’ offense has shown that they can compete against any team in the league BUT they also can be a complete non-factor  against any team as well. Last year the Ravens beat the Dolphins 28-13. The Dolphins have to win this game this year so they need to put up as many points as they possibly can. They need to show they can play tough every game for a whole season and they also need to show they can ice a game. This would be a tremendous step  if they could show both of those traits in this game. Tannehill has the ability and supporting cast to put up huge numbers this season and take another step forward. This season he needs to start winning the important and tough games, including this one. The Ravens will be in the thick of the playoff race with the Dolphins so Miami NEEDS this win.
