This is completely subjective at the moment because the health of Branden Albert is more of a concern that who starts at guard. At some point though Albert is expected back and Ja’wuan James has proven to be good enough to man the right tackle position. With Mike Pouncey returning to center the biggest question is who will play the right guard position. The battle is between Dallas Thomas and second year pro Billy Turner.
Turner missed last season with an injury but the Dolphins are very high on his ability they need to be 100% sure of it and Turner needs to prove it. The key is to keep Tannehill protected and the guard positions have not done very well in that regard over the last three years, Turner stepping up will keep Tannehill upright and keep the offense flowing. This is the main reason why I have him listed as the most important person on the offensive line. If he fails the likely option, only option, may very well be Thomas and that didn’t work out so well last year.
