No. 4 – Jim Kiick

The versatile Kiick provided whatever he could to the Miami backfield in his seven seasons with the Dolphins.

Kiick is fifth in franchise history with 3,644 rushing yards and 19th in receiving yards with 2,210. His all-in-one style complimented fellow backs Mercury Morris and Larry Csonka even when the shorter Kiick was called upon block for Csonka.

In Kiick’s first four seasons, he broke the 1,000 yard threshold in combined rushing and receiving yardage. In the 1972 playoffs, Kiick put together 111 yards on 37 touches and four touchdowns. The very next season, he tallied 93 yards on 27 touches en route to Miami’s second consecutive Super Bowl victory.

Career-wise, Kiick had 997 rushing attempts and 221 receptions. Getting as many touches as he did in what amounted to be one of, if not the, best backfields in NFL history is a testament to Kiick’s vital role for the Dolphins’ championship teams.

The Jersey-born Kiick did it all for Miami and that earns his our fourth spot on the all-time list.
