Final Verdict

Tannehill will continue his progress in nearly every category because he is clearly getting better as a quarterback and is more experienced in Lazor’s offensive scheme.

But the gradual progress he’s making isn’t what the Dolphins or their fans want, they want a jump from a sometimes good and mostly average young quarterback to one of the league’s elite passers.

With a brand new receiving corps, it’ll be difficult for Tannehill to make that jump given his flaws behind the line of scrimmage and with the deep ball.

Tannehill is considered one of the best young quarterbacks in the league. However at the age of 27, that title will soon expire. Tannehill must prove why the Dolphins used the eighth overall pick on him, he must prove why the Dolphins gave him a huge contract extension, and the only way to do that is to turn into one of the game’s elite.

The expectation for 2015 is that Tannehill will turn the corner and that six year contract will be a bargain for Tannehill, but it’s hard to say that’ll happen until Tannehill shows he can win big games.

What do you think? Will Tannehill blossom into the league’s next elite QB or will he wilt under the pressure? Let us know in the comment section below.
