May as well keep with the duo’s for another round of “best of”. Patrick Surtain was taken in the 2nd round of the 1998 draft and became one of Miami’s best coverage corners paring with Sam Madison who was drafted a year earlier also in the 2nd round. The pair of corners became a major staple of the Dolphins defense and both individually were as close to shutdown corners that the Dolphins have ever had.

While Surtain is no longer as involved with the team as Madison (on air personality for The FinSiders) he stays in touch with many of his former teammates. Surtain finished his Miami Dolphins career starting 82 games and 29 interceptions. Madison finished his Dolphins career with 129 games started over his nine seasons and 31 interceptions.
