Miami Dolphins At 50: Best Draft Picks
By Brian Miller
Number 4
Richmond Webb & Keith Sims
The Miami Dolphins made perhaps two of their best back-to-back picks (at least on the offensive line) in the 1990 draft when they took two offensive lineman. Richmond Webb spent 11 seasons as a Miami Dolphin tackle and made seven straight Pro-Bowls from 1990 to 1996. Next to him was Keith Sims who was drafted in round two of that same year.
Sims made three Pro-Bowl appearances and the duo gave the Miami Dolphins one of the best offensive lines in the NFL over the course of Dan Marino’s career.
Number 3
Jeff Cross
Cross was drafted in the 1988 draft and became one of the Dolphins best defensive ends. Taken in the 9th round, Cross would play eight seasons with the Dolphins and would record 59.5 sacks and 365 tackles in that career.
