N.Y. Jets @ Miami

The Jets and Miami were in the midst of their high-scoring back and forth rivalry seasons. In week three the Jets topped the Dolphins 51 to 45 in New York. In week 12 Miami got their payback by trouncing the Jets 45-3 on their way to an 8-8 season and a 3rd place finish in the East. The Jets would finish 10-6 making the playoffs as a wild card team.

September 10th, 1978

Miami @ Baltimore

The Dolphins entered the game against the Baltimore Colts in week two of the ’78 season at 0-1 after losing their opener to the Jets. Miami blanked the Colts 42-0 in this early season contest. The Dolphins tied the Patriots for the best record in the AFC East at 11-5 but lost the division title by tiebreaker. Miami entered the post-season as a Wild Card team losing to the Houston Oilers in round one.
