October 19th, 1975

Miami @ New York Jets

Entering the week five contest, Miami 3-1 losing only to Oakland to start the season. The host Jets were awarded for their generosity by giving up 43 points to the Dolphins. Miami would finish 10-4 but lost the tiebreaker to the Colts and miss out on the playoffs.

November 11th, 1973

Baltimore @ Miami

The Baltimore Colts visited South Florida in week nine of the season and left without scoring a single point. Miami won easily 44-0. The Dolphins finished the season 12-2. Five point loss against Oakland in week two and by 13 points to ironically Baltimore in week 13. The Dolphins of course went on to beat the Vikings in the Super Bowl for back-to-back championships.

November 11th, 1972

New England @ Miami

It’s fitting that the largest margin of victory should come in 1972 as part of the team un-defeated season. During the teams week nine contest the Dolphins put 52 points on the board against the visiting Patriots on their way to a perfect season.

Largest Point Margin In Defeat

The Miami Dolphins have lost by as many as 55 points. The game came in 2000, Dan Marino’s last as a Dolphin when the team lost to the Jaguars in the playoffs.
