Miami Dolphins updated 53 man roster predictions
By Brian Miller
Defensive line/Defensive ends
A.J. Francis – Francis needs to beat C.J. Mosley who thus far has not lived up to his billing.
 Oliver Vernon
 Cameron Wake
 Terrence Fede
 Derrick Shelby
 Ndamukong Suh
 Earl Mitchell
 Jordan Phillips
Anthony Johnson – The Dolphins defensive line depth did not look good last week against Chicago and Johnson didn’t have a great game. The Dolphins however need bodies and Johnson has a lot of upside.
Linebackers
Spencer Paysinger – Paysinger did not look good last Thursday but he has NFL experience and will need to prove he is a better option over younger players.
Jordan Tripp – Tripp injured his ankle last Thursday. He needs to get back to 100% soon but is still the 2nd unit linebacker.
 Jelani Jenkins
 Chris McCain
 Koa Misi
Zach Vigil – I didn’t have Vigil making the roster the first time around. Last week against the Bears Vigil played very well and is looking like he very well may earn a roster spot.
 Kelvin Sheppard
Cornerbacks
Zach Bowman – Bowman is not electrifying but he is consistent so far. Tony Lippett is not showing enough yet to make the final 53.
 Brent Grimes
 Jamar Taylor
Will Davis – Davis has shown a lot of growing through the first weeks of camp and had a solid outing against the Bears. It appears that he is really taking the challenge this year to improve and make an impact.
 Brice McCain
 Bobby McCain
Safeties
Walt Aikens – Aikens is doing enough for now to hold off Cedric Thompson but that could change as camp progresses.
 Reshad Jones
 Louis Delmas
 Michael Thomas
