No other quarterback in the NFL has shown as much improvement over the last three seasons as Miami Dolphins starter Ryan Tannehill. While still not considered elite by any means, Tannehill is slowly becoming one of the better quarterbacks. In 2014 Tannehill took yet another step towards understanding the NFL position and did very well under the tutelege of offensive coordinator Bill Lazor.
Tannehill’s biggest problem has been throwing the deep ball accurately. So far during the 2015 training camp, Tannehill has improved considerably in that area and the Dolphins are confident that his growth will continue. They should hope so as they extended his contract to the sum of $90 million plus this past off-season.
Tannnehill has started every game since arriving in Miami as the 8th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. In 2014 he saw his touchdown total increase from 12 in 2012, 24 in 2013, to 27 last season. His interception totals have declined as well from 17 in 2013 to 12 in 2014.
Tannehill has enjoyed an increase in his completion percentage as well moving from 58.3% in 2012 and 60.4% in 2013 to 66.4% in 2014.
