Week 13

Baltimore Ravens

It’s crunch time for the Dolphins. They are in the middle of their hardest portion of the 2015 schedule and playoff seeding, the division, and wild-card births are on the line. The Ravens have played the Dolphins very tough and have in essence made it very difficult the last two seasons for the Dolphins to make the post-season. The Ravens and Dolphins will play each other for the 3rd consecutive season and the Ravens have won both of those games handily. Scoring 26 and 28 points to the Dolphins 26 and 13. The meeting two seasons ago was not as close as the score would indicate.

Why the Dolphins will win

Miami is not the same team as last year and they are more resilient. Their defense should be much better against the run and that is what killed the Dolphins last season. Miami should be able to find the gaps in the Ravens defense and exploit them with Miller out of the back-field and DeVante Parker and Rishard Matthews on the outside, unless it’s Kenny Stills.

Why the Dolphins could lose

Without pressure Joe Flacco can pick apart defenses. He isn’t an elite quarterback but he is consistent and reliable. He has a lot of faith in his receivers and has a good running game to support him. If the Ravens can control the line of scrimmage and keep Flacco from being under too much pressure the Ravens will be able to keep the Dolphins offense off the field and score enough points to win the game.
