Week 14
New York Giants
Which New York Giants team will take the field this year? Will it be the team that is able to turn around a rough start to finish strong or will it be another season of inconsistency? Aside from the win/loss record this game will only have divisional implications in tie breakers as all of the AFC East teams will face the Giants. The Dolphins will get the Giants at home and that is a good advantage.
Why the Dolphins should win
Head to head the Dolphins look to be much stronger than the Giants. New York has a good if not great passing attack but Eli Manning get’s flustered when under pressure unless he is playing the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. The receivers are very good led by Odell Beckham, Jr. but pressure can take that advantage out of the game. The Giants running game isn’t as good as the Dolphins have faced throughout the season and Miami should manage to control the line of scrimmage allowing them to not only keep the Giants offense at bay but score points offensively as well.
Why the Dolphins could lose
If Eli Manning and his corp of receivers are hitting on all cylinders then the Dolphins secondary will have a hard time defending them and the Giants could turn the game into a scoring affair which the Dolphins might find difficult to match.
Prediction
Miami 33 – Giants – 26
