Week Three
Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills have a new head coach and a new star running back in LeSean McCoy. They don’t however have a stable quarterback and by the time week three rolls around the quarterback situation may change. What they still do have however is a blistering defense. The Bills will present the Miami Dolphins with their first very strong defense of the season and the game will of course carry the divisional rivalry as well
Why I think the Dolphins will win
Miami will be focused and it will be the first game of the season to be played at the renovated Sun-Life Stadium The Dolphins can attack the outside corners with short comeback routes and quick passes to the running backs and tight ends which should take some pressure off of Ryan Tannehill. In addition if the line can successfully block the Bills front seven Miami could open up a running attack that will control the ball. Ball control isn’t a need against the Bills as their offense is an unknown with the quarterback uncertainty.
Why the Dolphins can lose
The offensive line will get it’s first huge challenge of the season and it will be taxing on the interior where the Bills are very strong. In addition they have stout edge rushers and very capable linebackers. The secondary is also a good unit. The Bills will have a strong running game and LeSean McCoy is very good out of the back-field in the passing game. Miami will find it difficult to stave off the quick passing game and that could take away from the Dolphins pass rush.
Prediction
Miami 17 – Buffalo 14
