Kendall Wright – WR

Wright is the leading receiver with 16 receptions for 242 yards. He has an average of 15 yards per catch. On the season Wright has scored two touchdowns and his longest reception has been for 52 yards. Wright is a tough receiver but he is far from elite. Wright is one of those receivers that statistically would be much better somewhere else but in Tennessee his the only real reliable option for Marcus Mariota.

While Wright is fast, he isn’t necessarily a speed burner but this week he will challenge either Brent Grimes who practiced on Wednesday but still has a sore knee or one of Zach Bowman, Jamar Taylor, or Brice McCain. The Dolphins have struggled with receivers thus far through four weeks. Miami tends to play receivers six yards off the line of scrimmage and if they do that against Wright, he will adjust his route and give Mariota a quality target.

Wright will be a key to the Tennessee offense. Opposite Wright is Delanie Walker who has 14 receptions for just over 147 yards and a touchdown. He averages 10 yards per reception so you can see that the Titans move their receivers downfield in their routes. Expect them to do the same on Sunday.
