50 moments in Miami Dolphins history

The Miami Dolphins have had a lot of memorable moments in their 50 years of play. Unfortunately they are not writing many this year. From 1966 until today, the Miami Dolphins have been a staple in South Florida sports. Despite the tumultuous last decade there have been some great moments and some not great moments.

The Dolphins are celebrating their 50th season this year and the hopes were that the team would be competing for a Super Bowl to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Super Bowl. That won’t happen but it doesn’t mean we can’t look back at the last 50 seasons and smile or in some cases cringe. From Hall of Fame quarterbacks to questionable draft picks the Dolphins have written history and have made history. Sometimes good and sometimes bad.

Looking back over the course of the last 50 years some of what you will read are memorable to me while other moments are memorable to others. Your job is to point out what moments in history I missed, which I’m pretty certain is a lot of them.

Here is a look back at 50 years of Miami Dolphins football with no particular order from greatest to worst. We have also grouped some individual moments together in an effort to encompass as much as we can.
