Matt Patricia

Currently – defensive coordinator New England Patriots

Could it finally be Patricia’s time? In New England the Patriots may finally see real interest in their long time coach. Patricia joined the Patriots as an offensive assistant in 2004. He later coached as an assistant for the offensive line. Then he moved to the other side of the ball where he coached linebackers and in 2012 he was promoted to defensive coordinator. Patricia has the Bill Belichick mentality and over the last two seasons he has been very good at calling defensive schemes that take out the opposing teams best players.

How much interest Patricia will garner is not really known. He is an up and coming candidate but it still may be too soon for him. That won’t stop teams from interviewing him and picking his brain but whether he actually gets a job offer will be something that time alone will tell. One thing is certain, he has done a very good job this season despite a lot of turnover from last year and that will not go unnoticed.
