Nick Saban
Currently – head coach Alabama
Nick Saban’s name will never go away but there have been rumblings the last couple of years that he is considering a return to the NFL. His name has been mentioned as a possible candidate in Indianapolis. There is no question that Saban is one of the greatest college coaches ever but his short time in the NFL was mired in a singular controversy.
He quit.
Not liking the NFL style, Saban left the Dolphins after two seasons and all the guaranteed money on his contract. Saban told media that year that he was “not going to be the coach at Alabama” but as soon as the season ended, he left.
Fast forward to 2016 and his name is starting to ripple in NFL circles. Could he opt for a return to the NFL? While it’s unlikely you can never say never with Saban.
