Following the draft the Dolphins began signing their rookies. They came to deals with De’Vante Parker, Jordan Phillips, Jay Ajayi, Cedric Thompson, Jamil Douglas, McCain, and Lippett.
The Dolphins announce that they have signed QB Ryan Tannehill to a long-term extension. Tannehill’s deal would be worth upwards of $96 million with around $26 million guaranteed on the four-year extension. Tannehill’s deal however is structured as such that his final guarantees are paid out by the end of the 2016 season making it more like a two-year deal.

The Dolphins add WR Tommy Streeter and DT C.J. Mosley to one year deals. They waive Kamal Johnson.
Josh Freeman is released but is resigned five days later. The club never explains why the move was made.
The Dolphins sign a bunch of un-drafted rookies but also place safety Don Jones and WR De’Vante Parker on the PUP list. Parker is recovering from surgery on his foot, an injury that occurred in college. The Dolphins were aware of the injury. He would miss all of training camp and most of the off-season work.
