Dolphins 2015 year in review

Training Camp
The Dolphins began camp in late July with high expectations after the moves they had made in the off-season.
August 25th
The Dolphins place Louis Delmas on IR ending his shot at returning to the team.
August 30th
The Dolphins begin shaping their roster making several moves ahead of the September 5th final cuts. These moves include the releases of C J.D. Walton, TEs Gerell Robinson, DT Calvin Barnett, G Bryant Browning, WRs LaRon Byrd, Tyler McDonald and Kevin Cone, DE Ray Drew, DE Kendall Montgomery, CB Sammy Seamster and S Phillip Thomas.
September 1st
With final cuts looming in less than a week the Dolphins made the decision to enter the 2015 season with two rookie specialists. Undrafted punter Matt Darr beat out Brandon Fields and Andrew Franks replaced Caleb Sturgis.
September 4th
The Dolphins once again release Josh Freeman
September 5th
The Dolphins make final cuts to get to the league mandated 53 man roster. There are no major surprises.
September 13th
After going 1-3 in pre-season the Dolphins kick-off their 2015 regular season with a trip to Washington to face the Redskins. Washington jumps out to a quick lead and the Dolphins fail to impress looking rusty. In the 2nd half Jarvis Landry returns a punt for a touchdown. The score would put the Dolphins ahead and would end up being the game winning score.
September 20th
Miami would travel to face the Blake Bortles led Jaguars in an in-state rival game. The Jaguars would control both lines of scrimmage and hold Miami to 20 points. The Jaguars would win by three points.
September 27th
With phase two of Sun-Life Stadium construction completed the Dolphins open their season at home against the Buffalo Bills. Miami enters the game 1-1 playing poorly in the first two outings. The Bills jump to a big first half lead scoring 27 points at the half. The Bills would route the Dolphins 41-14.
