  1. Detroit Lions

Jack Conklin – OT – Michigan State

The worst rushing team in the league and one that gives up 44 sacks in a season needs help up front. With Decker gone, that leaves Conklin for the Lions.

The 6-foot-6, 325-pound tackle has been complimented for his perception of extra blockers and intuitive sense on the line. He’s considered a great run blocker which will help the awful Detroit rushing attack. He should act as an anchor on the line to help not only the ground game, but to keep Matthew Stafford standing.

The Lions could use some reinforcements on the defensive line making DE Shaq Lawson and DT Robert Nkemdiche possibilities with this pick. The problem is that the Detroit front office may be scared off by Nkemdiche’s off-field issues and defensive end isn’t that big of a concern for the Lions to address this soon in the draft. They could use another linebacker as well.
