  1. Atlanta Falcons

Shaq Lawson – DE – Clemson

Four sacks. That’s how many sacks linebacker Vic Beasley accumulated this season and it led the Atlanta Falcons in the statistic. Needless to say, the Falcons badly need defensive line and pass rushing assistance.

Depending on who you talk to, Shaq Lawson is either a top 10 talent or somewhere in the second half of the first round.

He’s a true 4-3 defensive end and that could cost him a higher selection, but for the Falcons beggars cannot be choosers. Lawson led the nation with 22.5 tackles for a loss, 3.5 of which came against Ronnie Stanley.

The Falcons need a “difference maker” on the line and according to some scouts, Lawson is that guy.

Atlanta could also use a linebacker and secondary help to corral their scoring defense on the ground which finished 31st in the NFL. Darron Lee or Leonard Floyd are possibilities at linebacker meanwhile Atlanta can likely wait for a later round to worry about the safety position.
