2016 NFL Mock Draft number 2
By Dan Heaning
- Indianapolis Colts
Jason Spriggs – OT – Indiana
The Colts offensive line is bad. In advanced stats, its worse than the Miami Dolphins’ line. So while Spriggs is considered a borderline late first round, early second round talent. The Colts need outweighs those assertions.
Allowing 37 sacks and having the 29th rushing attack will do that to a team.
He’s considered a solid run and pass blocker. With a large 6-foot-6, 305-pound frame, he not only has the size but the quickness, balance, and agility to get to the second level on the rush and keep the quarterback upright in pass protection.
The Colts may also consider someone like Floyd or Lee at linebacker or Elliott to add some youth to their aging running game.
