  1. Miami Dolphins

Reggie Ragland – LB – Alabama

If the draft shakes out this way, the Dolphins have something of a dilemma. They need to add to their linebacking and secondary corps. But which need is greater? In a division that has Rob Gronkowski, having a linebacker who could cover him and bring some stability to a tumultuous defense is critical.

Ragland has all the tools to be a leader for the Dolphins defense. Ragland made 102 tackles, 2.5 sacks and defended seven passes for the national champion Crimson Tide this past college football season.

If Miami wants to fix the defense they have to start with the quarterback of the defensive side of the football. An elite inside linebacker will help turn around one of the worst run defenses in the league and Ragland has the potential to be exactly that.

Still Miami is weak at cornerback and Vernon Hargreaves as well as Mackensie Alexander are still available in this mock draft. They are definite options for the Dolphins as the team searches for a new No. 1 corner to either replace or usurp Brent Grimes.
